Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: June 2026
Welcome to the Wrong Fuel Team website.
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website and outline the legally binding contract between you (the Customer) and the Wrong Fuel Team (the Company, "we", "us", or "our") when you request our mobile fuel drainage, AdBlue extraction, or roadside recovery services.
By booking our services via phone, email, or our website, you accept and agree to comply with these terms in full. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. The Service Agreement
Scope of Work: We provide a 100% mobile fuel and fluid extraction service. This includes siphoning contaminated fuel or AdBlue from your vehicle’s tank, purging lines, and flushing the system on-site.
No Guarantee of Mechanical Repair: While our mobile fuel drains have a 99% success rate on-site, we are a decontamination service, not a garage repair workshop. If your vehicle has sustained pre-existing mechanical damage due to driving on contaminated fuel before our arrival, we are not responsible if the vehicle fails to run after the system flush.
2. Pricing and Payment Terms
Fixed Quotes: When you call our dispatch team, you will be given an upfront, fixed-rate quote based on your location, vehicle model, and the type of contamination.
No Hidden Fees: The quoted price includes the call-out fee, labor, disposal of the contaminated fuel, and a small amount of fresh fuel to prime your engine.
Payment Collection: Payment must be made immediately upon completion of the fuel drain. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Our technicians carry secure mobile chip-and-pin payment terminals.
3. Cancellations and Aborted Call-Outs
Because we operate an emergency rapid-response dispatch system, cancellations affect our ability to reach other stranded motorists.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking after our local technician has already been dispatched and is en route to your location, a standard Cancellation Fee will apply to cover fuel and driver costs.
Incorrect Location/Details: It is your responsibility to provide an accurate location and vehicle details. If our technician arrives at the location provided and cannot find you, or if you provide the wrong vehicle details that prevent us from completing the job, the standard call-out fee remains payable.
4. Vehicle Warranty and Liability
Manufacturer Warranties: Misfuelling or putting AdBlue into a diesel tank is a driver error, not a manufacturing fault. While our professional drain removes the contamination completely, we cannot guarantee that your vehicle manufacturer will not invalidate your warranty due to the initial misfuelling event itself.
Pre-existing Damage: We accept no liability for mechanical failure or damage that occurred before our technician arrived, such as a fuel pump that seized up because the vehicle was driven extensively on the wrong fuel.
Limitation of Liability: Our total liability to you for any single event of damage or loss arising directly from our negligence during the execution of the fuel drain is strictly limited to the cost of repairing the specific component damaged during our service.
5. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a safe and fast service, the Customer agrees to:
Stay Safe: Switch off your hazard lights once parked safely, and wait for our technician in a secure area (such as inside a service station building if on a busy motorway).
Provide True Information: Disclose exactly whether the vehicle’s ignition was turned on or if the car was driven after the wrong fuel or AdBlue was introduced. This is critical for our technician to execute the correct flushing process.
Proof of Ownership: We reserve the right to request proof of ID or vehicle ownership before commencing a fuel drain to prevent unauthorized work on vehicles.
6. Environmental Commitment & Fuel Disposal
Safe Handling: All contaminated fuel and chemicals extracted by our technicians are hazardous waste.
Legal Disposal: We handle, transport, and dispose of all contaminated fluids strictly in accordance with UK environmental laws and hazardous waste regulations. Extracted fuel remains the property of the Company for safe recycling and disposal.
7. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
